Example Pillar Natural ArchNABSQNO 15S-498271-3951960. This exceptional adult pillar natural arch is located in the Pedestal Rocks Scenic Area of the Ozark National Forest about 6 miles east of Pelsor, Arkansas. Access is via highway 16, followed by a pleasant 2 mile loop hike. The arch is exceptional because compression strengthening has occurred. As a result, the arch has outlasted the two caves that joined to form it! It has a span of 15 feet.
