Window Rock, Apache County, Arizona

NABSQNO 12S-629195-4040060. Window Rock is an fin natural arch eroded through a narrow wall of Wingate sandstone. It is located on the southwest corner of Round Rock Butte, on the Navajo Nation about 5 miles west of Round Rock in Apache County, Arizona. Window Rock is seen advantageously, but from a distance of about 2 miles, along a short stretch of US Highway 191. Closer access requires the services of a Navajo guide.
Window Rock has a span of about 60 feet and a height of about 130 feet. Vreeland listed it in his catalog as number 11-9.
