Natural Bridge of New York was formed by a channel of Indian River that cut a subterranean passageway through white limestone. Just upstream of the rise of this channel a portion of the roof has collapsed, creating the natural arch. Visitors to this commercial property are rowed through the cavern on a boat for a fee. Artificial lighting has been strung through the passageway to permit sight. Natural Bridge of New York is located in the town of Natural Bridge in Jefferson County, New York. Vreeland listed this arch in his catalog as number 13-3.
