It is located in a remote section of the Navajo Reservation west of Sanostee, San Juan County, New Mexico. A guide is required to visit the arch. It has a span of 204 feet, a height of 61 feet, a thickness of 64 feet, and a width of 20 feet. It has the greatest span of any documented arch in New Mexico, and is one of the very few documented arches in the world with a span greater than 200 feet. Vreeland included Snake Bridge in his catalog as number 17-1. Another photograph is available here.
