NABSQNO 15S-478892-3968691. Alum Cove Natural Bridge is an adult alcove natural arch eroded through the Middle Bloyd Sandstone member of the Bloyd formation. It is located north of the town of Deer in Newton County, Arkansas. The arch is the largest of several natural arches found in the Alum Cove Natural Bridge Recreation Area, part of the Ozark National Forest managed by the USFS. A well marked trail leads over Alum Cove Natural Bridge and to all of the other arches in the Recreation Area. Alum Cove Natural Bridge has a span of 101 feet, a height of 16 feet, a width of 23 feet, a thickness of 16 feet, and a separation of 14 feet. At least nine other arches are found along the trail. The largest of these has a span of 30 feet and a height of 20 feet. MAP
