Golden Cathedral

The Golden Cathedral is in the Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument, in Neon Canyon about a mile from the Escalante River. In the Cathedral is a triple pothole arch opening, the largest of which is estimated at about 30 feet. When sunlight enters the Cathedral it reflects off the pool, creating a shimmering light show against the canyon walls. Photo by David Brandt-Erichsen.
