Devetaska Pestera, Bulgaria
NABSQNO 35T 328448 4788832 Bulgaria

Devetashka Pestera is not only the largest cave in Bulgaria but also in the Balkans Peninsula. It is situated about 25 km (15.5 miles) northeast of the town of Lovec. There are five openings at the cave entrance. The largest opening is estimated at about 180 ft wide by 60 feet high. There is a single story concrete building under the bridge. This can be seen as two white spots at the bottom left of the rear span, providing some sense of scale. Photo by Ray Millar.
