It is located along Moffat County road 57, about 16 miles south of its intersection with US Highway 40 near Maybell, Colorado. This road continues south to become Rio Blanco County road 7 and eventually intersect with Colorado Highway 64 just west of Meeker. Escarpment Arch is named for its proximity to Escarpment Peak.
