From its appearance, anyway, we think it must have been an arch. Eagle Park is in the extreme northern end of the Park. It would be wise to ask a ranger at the visitor's center how to get to Eagle Park. The road to it turns to the left off the main Park Road opposite Skyline Arch (qv). This is a dirt road navigable with two-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive is recommended (check with a ranger on road condition). In the past a four-wheel drive road turned off to the right from this road; but the last time the author was there, it had been closed for "scenic restoration". If it is still closed it is probably at least a mile hike over to Eagle Park. Check with a ranger to determine if a trailhead has been marked.
