This beautiful arch is located in the South Rim area of the Grand Canyon.
It has a span of 65 ft. as well as an opening height of 65 ft.
The "standard" Royal Arch hike makes a big loop; but if viewing the
arch is the main interest, one can hike to the arch and return by the
same route. To get an idea of the nature of this multi-day backcountry hike,
go to Dr. Rob Jones's trip report. Vertical panorama photo by Rob Jones |
