Owachomo Natural Bridge is one of three large natural bridges
in "Natural Bridges National Monument". When the author first
visited here, it was a long drive over a really rough dirt road.
Now it is paved and called the "Bicentennial Highway" (Utah Rt. 95).
It turns to the right off US 191 four miles south of Blanding. It's
roughly 35 miles to the well-marked entrance (UT 275). This is
the only one of the bridges close enough to be clearly visible
from the road; and it is only a short hike down to it. Its height
is 106 ft, and its span is 180 feet (the smallest of the three).
The other two bridges are Kachina and
Sipapu, which the visitor
comes to before Owachomo.
