White Hole, Thailand

NABSQNO 47P 485640 895450 Thailand

This is probably the largest natural arch in Thailand (with a span of 171 feet) but remains little known. Located in southern Thailand in the Krabi District about 9 km from Susaan Hoi (Fossil Shell Beach), the arch is eroded in an isolated limestone butte containing fossil sea shells. The arch was seen in the 2006 movie Rescue Dawn. Palm oil and rubber trees obscure the opening, making photography difficult. Photos and measurement by Soren Tuxen.
