Kellingin
NABSQNO 29V 598371 6911685 Faroe Islands, Denmark

Kellingin is a 223-foot tall sea stack containing an arch just off the northern coast of the island of Eysturoy close to the town of Eiði in the Faroe Islands. Slightly further from the coast, to the left in the photo, is the slightly taller 233-foot sea stack known as Risin. Together the two are known as "Risin og Kellingin" which means "The Giant and the Witch" and refers to an old legend about their origins. Gologists predict that Kellingin, which currently stands on two legs, will fall into the sea sometime in the next few decades during winter storms. Photo by Paul Olai Olssen (Paul's Planet).
