Arco Triunfal en Palmira, Bolivia. The town of Tupiza in southern Bolivia is reputed to be the place where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid met their fate. It is also surrounded by numerous canyons with interesting rock formations. Located in the Palmira Canyon system, in a small side canyon near to the Canon Del Inca, this is probably the largest arch in the area. The side canyon is a short distance beyond the well known attraction called the Devil's Gate. The arch has a span of 15 feet and a height of 24 feet. Photo by Ray Millar (www.ArchesUK.com).
