Three Arch Rocks is actually a National Wildlife Refuge. It is located
on the north Oregon Coast near the junction of US 101 and State Rt. 6. The
Refuge is home to Oregon’s largest breeding colony of Tufted Puffins and
also a large breeding colony of Murre. The Rocks themselves are closed
to the public, but a good viewpoint is from the Cape Meares State Scenic
Viewpoint located on a headland 200 ft. above the ocean. The path from
the parking lot descends to an 1890s lighthouse and also provides views
of the sea arches.
