Rock Bridge
See "Gray's Arch" for directions to Red River Gorge in Kentucky. One of the easy trail loop hikes in the Red River Gorge leads to a rare natural "waterfall span" (also see "Troll Bridge" under "Vicinity of Moab"). Rock Bridge is found near the midpoint of Trail No. 207, a 1.3 mile path along Swift Creek. Rock Bridge was initially formed by a waterfall as it passed over resistant rock; but over time worked its way through crevices in the softer rock below, eventually undermining the harder upper layers. With a 60 ft. span, it is the only span of its kind in the Red River Gorge.
