This arch is located at the northeast edge of Butler flat in the Needles District. See Druid Arch for directions to the Needles District and Elephant Hill. Instead of parking at the base, continue on up Elephant Hill and across to the other side, and descend Elephant Hill in switchbacks. The descent is steep and requires backing up to get around one of the switchbacks. Continue on the rough 4wd trail for 3 1/2 miles to Devil's Kitchen. Turn right and go another half mile and take a left fork. Drive another mile to SOB Hill (you will know when you get there). Drive another 1.1 miles and view the arch on the left |
