Fossil Falls Arch One
Ancient lava flows ran into the Owens River resulting in fantastic formations. Among these are a some interesting small arches. Traveling north on U.S. Rt. 395 (which runs roughly parallel to Death Valley) just past Little Lake turn right onto Cinder Road (dirt). Follow signs to the parking areas. A short hike takes the visitor to the formations. With a little searching, one might run across this one. This is the largest of the arches at Fossil Falls.
