Washerwoman Arch
A good view of Washerwoman can be had by taking the short hike to Mesa Arch. In fact, this is the view in which it appears to look more like a washerwoman. To get a closer view, follow the directions to Musselman Arch, and continue south on the White Rim Trail for about another 10 miles to view the Arch and the adjoining towering rocks. The arch is estimated to have a span of 10 ft. and a vertical opening of 85 ft. There is also a second arch on the south side of the rock that is perhaps 20 ft. high but is quite narrow. The formation is best photographed in the afternoon when the sun shines through it.
