This interesting arch is in the southern end of the Park, on the
southerly extension of the Burr Trail which eventually meets Utah
276 coming down from Hanksville. Drive east on the Burr Trail
from Boulder. After descending the switchbacks, turn right at the
intersection. It is about 9 miles to the turn-off on the right that leads
to the trailhead. The arch is visible from the trailhead ; and a pretty
good photo can be taken with a telephoto lens. To really appreciate
the arch, however, it is necessary to make the hike. The author didn't
quite make it to the arch (heat exhaustion), but his fellow hiker got
further along and took this photo. While this is not a long hike it is
rather strenuous. The lower opening (the larger of the two)
has a span of 120 ft.
