There are relatively few natural bridges compared
to the number of natural arches; so even this small
span is worth being included. This one is located in
Grand Canyon N.P. It is easily reached from the
Cottonwood Campground along the North Kaibab Trail.
Look up the shallow drainage to the east of the trail
when you are about 200 feet from the southern end of
the Ranger Station at the Cottonwood Campground.
Look for a large forked cottonwood like you see in the
photo. The natural bridge is visible from the trail,
although it may not be apparent under some lighting
conditions. It's about 7.2 miles north of the Bright
Angel Campground.
